Impact sound is a particularly distinct and unpleasant type of sturcture-borne noise. Notably in stairways of multiple-family dwellings a lack of impact sound insulation may cause serious annoyances.
By elastic support using Impact Sound Insulation Elements type HTT with high-grade elastomer beds and by providing joint sheets type HTPL, concrete stair flights are acoustically separated from the surrounding structures.
